Call Forwarding

An extension can temporary set all calls to be forwarded to another extension or to an external phone number. 

Call forwarding is for an extension and not for a ring group . Contact support to enable ring group call forwarding.

For long-term call forwarding needs, an additional phone or a softphone  should be used.  R emote workers who have a phone in the office but work primary remotely are a good example of needing a long-term solution instead of forwarding their extension. Contact Penguin support for more details on additional phone hardware and for softphones. 

Enabling and Disabling Call Forward

Enabling and disabling call forward is very simple. Dial the code from the following table, using the desired enable/disable. Dialing *74 will toggle the existing call forward state on/enabled/set and off/disabled/cancelled. When enabling call forward you will be prompted to enter the phone number to forward your extension's phone calls to, followed by #.

When you have enabled your extension to have calls forwarded you will see an indicator   /    that call forward is enabled on Yealink desk phone screens.




Examples of Use

Dialing *72 and *73:
Extension 108 Enabling Call Forward, forwarding to extension 109 Extension 108 Disabling Call Forward
1. Dial *72

2. Listen to the audio prompt to "enter the destination telephone number, then press pound (#)"

3. dial 109

4. press #

5. Listen to the audio prompt that "call forward has been set"

6. the call automatically ends

7. (Yealink desk phones: the call forward icon is displayed on the phone's screen)

1. Dial *73

2. Listen to the audio prompt that "call forward has been cancelled"

3. the call automatically ends

4. (Yealink desk phones:   the call forward icon is no longer displayed on the phone's screen)
