Polycom User settings

Polycom User settings

For security reasons user level settings cannot be saved in the Polycom phones.

This includes but is not limited to the following:
  • soft key configurations
  • address book settings
  • ringer settings
  • ringer volume
We understand that some can see this as an inconvenience. However, there is a large security risk to storing user data from the phones.

Although we do not store the user data that does not mean your settings will be lost often. The only time the settings will be lost or reset back to their default settings is when following takes place.
  1. power outages causing the phone to reboot
  2. manual phone reboots
  3. occasional software/security updates
  4. changes made by PENGUIN to the configuration of the phone.
